These terms cover the current website and pre-launch activities. They do not grant access to a production API or create a paid-service contract.
Who we are and what these terms cover
The website is operated by Embiro Labs, 4 Norfolk Gardens, Kyambogo, Kampala, Uganda. Contact collins@embiro.ai. These terms govern permitted use of our website, model catalogue, brand downloads, waitlist and demonstration tools, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Read these terms alongside the Privacy notice, Cookies & storage information and Acceptable use policy. If a specific download includes a licence, that licence governs that asset. Any future signed service agreement will govern the service it describes and take priority over inconsistent general website terms for that service.
Who the site is for
Our waitlist and tools are intended for people aged 18 or over acting in a professional or business capacity. If you act for an organisation, you must have authority to supply its information and make any commitments on its behalf. Browsing information does not make your employer a customer.
Provide accurate information you are entitled to share. You are responsible for your device and connection. Do not impersonate another person, submit another person’s email without permission or misuse forms to send unsolicited messages.
Pre-launch status and waitlist
Embiro Labs is developing AI tools and an inference API. Joining the waitlist records interest. It is free, is not an order or reservation of compute capacity, and does not guarantee a launch date, invitation, model, price, country of operation or priority position.
We may prioritise invitations based on readiness, capacity, workload fit and other relevant criteria. Plans can change or be discontinued. You do not have to buy anything if invited. Before a paid or data-processing service starts, we will provide applicable terms, prices, data-handling details and an opportunity to decide whether to proceed.
Previews and demonstration tools
The invite-only Platform at /console connects to real account, key, inference and usage services. Access is subject to your invitation and agreed pilot limits and terms. Configured usage estimates are reviewed for manual billing and are not invoices or automatic card charges. Controls and model access are limited to what your workspace actually enables.
Illustrative API examples, sample dashboards, generated demo keys, usage figures and billing screens are examples rather than operational services. A demo key is not a credential. No demo invoice is payable. Do not connect production systems to illustrative endpoints or rely on a demo’s settings to enforce security, spending limits or residency.
Demo content and preferences may be stored only in your browser and can disappear when browser data is cleared or the demo changes. Do not enter sensitive or production information. The signature generator provides formatting for you to review; delivery and rendering depend on your email application.
Model information, comparisons and performance
The catalogue distinguishes enabled private-pilot models from coming-soon candidates. A catalogue listing does not itself grant access or imply publisher endorsement. Check the models enabled for your workspace, their licences and the applicable pilot terms before use.
Benchmarks are subject to their original methodology, date, evaluation settings and limitations. Different tests are not necessarily comparable. Published model scores are not measurements of Embiro infrastructure. Verify a model’s licence, safety, suitability, current specifications and restrictions for your intended use.
Pilot inference runs in Cape Town. Broader African residency and lower latency remain service goals; illustrations are not evidence of additional facilities. Network distance is one factor in latency. We do not guarantee a particular speed or service level on this website.
Our materials and third-party rights
We or our licensors own the website design, original text, code, illustrations and brand materials, except where a different owner or licence is identified. You may browse, link to the website and make reasonable personal or internal reference copies, preserving notices. Other use requires permission or an applicable licence.
Brand and press assets may be used to identify or report on Embiro Labs consistently with the supplied brand guidelines and asset licences. Do not imply sponsorship, partnership, certification or endorsement, alter marks misleadingly, or use our identity for a competing service. Font files and other licensed assets retain their separate licence terms.
Model names, publisher logos, third-party software and linked materials belong to their owners. No general website term grants rights to someone else’s model weights, marks or software.
Your submissions and feedback
You retain rights in information you submit. You give us permission to use it as needed to operate the waitlist, respond to you and evaluate the requirements or feedback you provide, consistently with the Privacy notice. Do not submit material if you lack the necessary rights or permission.
General suggestions may help us improve the product without an obligation to implement them or pay a fee. This does not transfer ownership of your confidential business information or create a confidentiality agreement. Arrange appropriate terms before sharing trade secrets, customer datasets or sensitive technical material.
Acceptable access
Use the site lawfully and follow the Acceptable use policy. Do not interfere with availability, bypass access or rate controls, harvest personal information, probe other people’s records, upload malware or misrepresent your relationship with us.
We may block abusive traffic or restrict access where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance or protecting others. Where appropriate and practicable, we will explain the issue and provide a way to contact us. Urgent security action may occur without advance notice.
External links and communications
External services have their own terms and privacy practices. Links are provided for context, not a promise of their accuracy, availability or security. Check destinations before submitting information.
You can withdraw consent to optional research or pilot updates by replying or contacting us. Action confirmations, responses to your requests and legally necessary messages are distinct from optional promotional updates. No email should ask you to reply with a password or API secret.
Availability and reasonable limits
We take reasonable care in presenting the website but it may contain errors, become unavailable or change. To the extent permitted by law, it is provided without a promise that every page will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. Check information before relying on it for procurement, production or regulated decisions.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect losses or lost profits arising from use of, or inability to use, this free informational website. Responsibility for any other loss is subject to applicable law and the circumstances, including reasonable foreseeability and each party’s conduct.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or removes mandatory consumer, privacy or other statutory rights. We do not impose a blanket financial liability cap or require you to indemnify us for all website activity.
Changes, closure and disputes
We may update the website and these terms prospectively. Material changes will be identified by a revised date and, where appropriate, additional notice. A change does not retrospectively remove accrued rights or substitute for any acceptance required for a future paid service.
You may stop using the website and ask to leave the waitlist at any time. We may discontinue pre-launch activities; privacy and lawful recordkeeping duties continue for data we still hold.
These website terms are governed by the laws of Uganda, subject to mandatory laws and rights that apply to you. Contact collins@embiro.ai to try to resolve a concern. Courts with competent jurisdiction may hear disputes; these terms do not require private arbitration or restrict a statutory regulator or complaint route. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent legally possible.
